Measurement

Clicking on the Measurement icon opens the Measurement widget shown here.

Measurement Widget

Clicking on the double up arrow collapses the widget and clicking on the double down arrow expands the widget.
Clicking on the X closes the widget.

Area Tool

Calculates the area of a polygon.
Clicking on the Area icon activates the Area tool.
When the Area tool is activated the Units Selector pull down menu becomes visible.

Measurement Units

Click on the down arrow to expand the selection list.
Click on the desired unit of measurement.
To start measuring the area of a polygon, click on the map for the first vertex location.
Continue clicking on the map for each desired vertex location of the polygon.
To complete the polygon, double click at the last vertex location and the area of the polygon will be displayed under Measurement Result.

Distance Tool

Calculates the length of a polyline.

Clicking on the Distance icon activates the Distance tool.
When the Distance tool is activated the Units Selector pull down menu becomes visible.
Click on the down arrow to expand the selection list.
Click on the desired unit of measurement.
To start measuring the length of a polyline, click on the map for the first vertex location.
Continue clicking on the map for each desired vertex location of the polyline.
To end the polyline, double click at the last vertex location and the length of the polyline will be displayed under Measurement Result.

Location Tool

Displays Longitude and Latitude of the cursor and selected points on the map.
Coordinates displayed are in the World Geodetic System (WGS) 1984 which is the coordinates of the Global Positioning System (GPS).
Clicking on the Location icon activates the Location tool.
When the Location tool is activated the Units Selector pull down menu becomes visible.
Click on the down arrow to expand the selection list.
Click on Degrees for decimal degrees or DMS for degrees, minutes and seconds.
When you click on the map the Longitude and Latitude coordinates are displayed to the right of the Location Pin icon .
